Dr. Khalil Issac Mathai have served with the armed forces for 35 years. He has completed his MBBS from AFMC,Pune in 1983. He has done his DNB (Gen. Surgery) in 1991 and DNB (Neurosurgery) from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2002. Also specialised in MCL (Neurosurgery) from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2002.

Dr Khalil served as Associate Professor in Neurosurgery ar AFMC, Pune and Professor in Neurosurgery at INHS Asvini. Later he was the Head of Surgery & Neurosurgery at Command Hospital Air Force.
Prior to joining Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai, he was the Head of Neurosurgery at KIMS Al-Shifa Hospital and he practised as Senior Consultant- Neurosurgery at KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum.
