The Department of Nephrology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various kidney related problems such as congenital and acquired kidney diseases, metabolic acidosis, uric acid nephropathy, chronic kidney disease, polycystic kidney disease, reconstructive urology and neuro urology related renal ailments.
The nephrology unit at Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai offers services such as haemodialysis for acute chronic renal failures, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT (continuous veno-venous haemodialysis), plasma exchange, insertion of CAPD catheter and tunneled catheter for haemodialysis and renal biopsy. The department also works in association with vascular surgeons for AV fistula creation, fistulogram and percutaneous interventions.

The dialysis units available at Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai are state of the art, with all settings as in an ICU set up.
