A three year super specialty programme that trains doctors to become specialist gastroenterologists, with in depth clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic diseases, including endoscopy, hepatology, and GI critical care.
Training covers diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, emergency endoscopy for GI bleeding, cirrhosis and its complications, pancreaticobiliary disorders with imaging correlation, nutrition and metabolic aspects of GI disease, and ICU based care for GI emergencies, through case discussions, journal clubs, and research alongside surgical, radiology, and critical care teams.
