Dr. Swapna completed her MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi University in 1993, she obtained her PG Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Distant Education of Pert University, Australia as WHO project in government Medical College in 2002. BCCPM from Govt. Medical College, Calicut PG Diploma in family medicine from Distant Education of CMC, Vellore in 2019.

She also worked as Honarary Medical Officer at Govt.Medical College Kottayam and as assistant in medical and radiation oncology at Caritas Hospital. Prior to joining Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai she worked as Palliative Specialist at SH Medical Center Kottayam.
