The aim behind the launching of this hospital at Cherpunkal is to not only confine it as a tertiary care hospital, but a project leading to the establishment of a medicality comprising all the modern as well as ancient traditional healing methods that include Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Meditation, and Prayer. Thus, envisioning a healthy generation in body, mind, and soul aims at the wholeness of all people and for the betterment of our community. While the hospital and its specialities will meet the needs of the people who come to the hospital, a hospice centre attached to the Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai cares for the forsaken and suffering poor brothers and sisters who are bedridden and left without humanitarian care. Keeping in mind that sufferings are the ways of God's loving providence, the hospice will provide them with every assistance whereby they can find a home of love, peace, consolation, and gain spiritual motivation for accepting the state of life.

The Diocese of Palai has come forward with this unique project to do our part to contribute to the development and growth of the nation and nurture a healthy generation. Our lives are certainly in God's hands, but our health is largely the result of our efforts. The new hospital will spare no effort to save lives at all costs, upholding the lofty principles of morality and ethics. Needless to say, a project like this can only be achieved through the united and concerted efforts of our community at all levels. ensuring the wholehearted co-operation and joint efforts of all, namely our parishes, institutions, and generous and well-intentioned people from all walks of life without distinction of communities. It is very gratifying to note that the project has gained a very positive and welcoming response by way of sponsorships for rooms, operation theatres, hospital equipment, furniture, etc.
Let us hope and pray that this new hospital project will be a “new temple" dedicated to the health of the people of Kerala, built on Truth, Justice and Love.
