Mar Sleeva Cancer Care and Research Centre is a comprehensive cancer treatment centre in Palai, Kottayam, offering Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Haemato Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Marrow Transplant, and CAR T cell therapy under one roof. Spread across 100,000 sq ft as the Department of Onco Sciences at Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai, the centre covers the full pathway from cancer prevention and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, research, and rehabilitation.

Internationally trained oncology specialists work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver structured, patient centred care. The team follows globally recognised protocols including NCCN, ESMO, and ASTRO guidelines, while multidisciplinary tumour boards review cases collaboratively to arrive at an evidence based treatment plan for every patient.

Advanced Cancer Treatment Technology

The centre integrates precision oncology technology across diagnosis and treatment. Key facilities include the Elekta Versa HD Linear Accelerator for high precision radiation therapy, the UMI 550 Digital PET CT for advanced imaging and cancer staging, and the Siemens Symbia Evo Excel SPECT system for nuclear medicine diagnostics. A modern chemotherapy unit supports patient comfort and safety, with a dedicated pediatric section and an isolation HDU for specialised care. The centre also houses a Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant unit and CAR T cell therapy services, with HEPA filtered BMT rooms maintaining strict infection control during advanced treatments. Patients access diagnosis, treatment, and follow up within a single campus, reducing the need to travel between facilities during an already demanding treatment course.

Mar Sleeva Cancer Care and Research Centre represents the realization of the vision of Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of Palai and Founder and Patron of Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai.
