BRIG (Dr) M.J. Jacob (Retd) is a highly experienced Senior Consultant in Nuclear Medicine at Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai, specializing in advanced diagnostic imaging and therapeutic treatments. With decades of service in the Indian Armed Forces, he has held leadership positions as Head of Nuclear Medicine at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi; Naval Command Hospital, INHS Asvini, Mumbai and Air Force Command Hospital, Bangalore. He has been instrumental in establishing PET-CT services, gamma camera units, and high-dose radionuclide therapy wards, bringing world-class nuclear medicine facilities to India.
In addition to his clinical excellence, BRIG (Dr) M.J. Jacob (Retd) has made significant contributions to medical education, academic research, and training in nuclear medicine. He initiated the DNB Nuclear Medicine programme at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi in 1999, and has served as a guide, examiner, and inspector for postgraduate programmes under the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
