At the Department Radiation Oncology,we aim to deliver individualized radiation treatment with high end technology adhering to AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) guidelines. Radiation therapy uses X-rays at high energy to kill dangerous cancer cells without affecting the function of nearby organs.

The department is currently equipped with the latest Elekta Versa HDRS (High Definition Dynamic Radio Surgery). With this state of the art linear accelerator, we are able to deliver radiation with high efficacy and very minimal toxicity.

Radiation treatment also helps in organ conservation and avoids surgery in some cases where it can affect the quality of life like rectum, head and neck cancers. It also helps in organ conservation surgeries like cancer involving rectum, breast etc.
