2025 URF National Award by the Universal Records Forum
Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai has been honoured with the 2025 URF National Award by the Universal Records Forum for conducting BLS training in Kottayam for 1,000 individuals in a single day on World Heart Day 2025. This achievement stands as a testament to the hospital’s unwavering commitment to community health, safety, and cardiac emergency preparedness.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively during cardiac emergencies, including performing CPR and using an AED in the critical minutes before professional medical help arrives. By training 1,000 individuals in BLS in Kottayam on a single day, Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai has taken a significant step toward building a heart-safe community across the region.
This milestone was made possible through the invaluable support of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology Palai and St. Joseph’s Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Palai, along with their National Service Scheme (NSS) units, whose active participation and coordination were instrumental in facilitating this record-setting achievement.
The 2025 URF National Award recognises organisations and individuals who have achieved extraordinary feats of national significance. Receiving this honour reinforces Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai’s position as a leader in healthcare excellence and community outreach in Kottayam and across Kerala.
This achievement adds to the hospital’s growing portfolio of recognition, which includes the Kerala State Pollution Control Board Award 2024, the Kerala State Energy Conservation Award 2024, and the Best Healthcare Brand 2022 awarded by the Economic Times.
