Blessing of the new equipment
The new facilities were blessed by His Excellency Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of the Eparchy of Palai, marking the addition of these systems to the Gastro Sciences department.
The new diagnostic systems
Four systems have been added, each addressing a specific part of gastrointestinal and liver care.
- FibroScan A non invasive scan that assesses liver fibrosis (scarring) and steatosis (fat) in minutes, without a biopsy, supporting the evaluation and follow up of liver disease.
- Portable ultrasound An ultrasound dedicated to the Gastro Sciences department, allowing imaging to be carried out at the bedside for patients who cannot easily be moved.
- Breath analyser A simple, non invasive breath test used in the diagnostic evaluation of digestive conditions.
- C arm imaging system A mobile imaging system that provides live X ray guidance during image guided procedures, improving precision and safety.
